Spiritual Death

Ian Williams wrote:
To which part of American culture do you assign "spiritual death"? And I don't mean the obvious ones. For me?

- Dockers™ pants
- all-afternoon happy hour at Ruby Tuesday's
- Kevin Federline listening to his own music
- the Lice Aisle at Wal-Mart

Maybe these are the obvious ones, but I'd say:

- Tooth whiteners
- Cosmetic vacations
- Payday advance service
- televised poker
- Weekend at Bernie's 2

How about you?

Off the top of my head:

Bluetooth cellphone earpieces.

The spinning hubcap thingies that you see on vehicles like Cadillac Escalades.

Grande non-fat, no whip, 182 degree, 1/2 caff, extra shot caramel machiatto. For crying out loud, it's just coffee, people! If you can't drink straight drip coffee, you shouldn't be allowed into a coffee house!

Bobblehead dolls on dashboards.

TV's embedded into cell phones.

Fake bullet holes painted on cars and trucks.

Anything that is a "fusion" of this and that.
